Safe and sound
In the case of public buildings hosting events with a large number of participants, it is crucial to ensure the highest level of fire protection. This was an important aspect in the planning and design of the ventilation system of the Alba Aréna.
Alba Aréna in Székesfehérvár, Hungary
The multifunctional event and sports hall Alba Aréna, in Hungary, has a net floor area of almost 22,000 square meters. It can accommodate about 6,000 people for ice hockey matches, and up to 8,000 people for concerts and other events. The design and implementation of the building's ventilation and fire protection system was not an everyday task, as the dimensions, functionality, and technical parameters unique requirements regarding the solutions used.
Reliable heat and smoke evacuation
A significant part of the Alba Arena's heat and smoke exhaust system was implemented using quality Lindab products, such as single compartments of Lindab smoke evacuation system and oversized rectangular elements up to 1900 x 1700 mm. Mechanical evacuation of heat and smoke minimises the spread of fire and limits the spread of smoke. Not only does it ensure effective firefighting, but it also keeps exits and escape routes smoke-free, allowing people to get to safety quickly. The products are CE certified, i.e. in compliance with EU-level safety, health, and environmental protection standards, which is a fundamental measure, since reliability is crucial in the case of heat and smoke exhaust systems.
Large diffusers for perfect indoor climate
During the construction of the Alba Aréna, Lindab RCW rotation diffusers blowers, which are widely used in stadiums and provide a quality solution, were installed in the arena. This swirl diffuser used is a particularly good choice for installations with high ceilings. Its blades are adjustable, so the direction of the supplied air can be changed from horizontal to vertical.
Comfort even in smaller rooms
For the building's other spaces, like offices, corridors, changing rooms, the designers chose the RS14 square-shaped swirl diffuser equipped with fixed bars, which can be used for both supply and exhaust. The swirl pattern ensures high induction and a large dynamic range. Lindab diffusers are made of high-quality galvanized steel.
